🎮 **Online Gaming Bill Passed: Money Games Banned, eSports Boosted!**
The **Rajya Sabha** on Thursday cleared the **Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill**, a day after it was passed in the Lok Sabha. Despite opposition protests, the bill was approved by **voice vote**.

* 🚫 No ads for money gaming platforms
* 🏦 Banks barred from processing related transactions
* ⚖️ Punishment: **Up to 3 years jail / ₹1 crore fine**
✅ On the brighter side, the bill aims to **promote eSports & social gaming**, making India a hub for game development.
Union Minister **Ashwini Vaishnaw** said the bill is designed to prevent people from losing their savings in money games, while boosting innovation in creative gaming.
