The Ferrari 488 GTB arrived in Mumbai 26-feb with its launch at Ferrari’s official Navnit dealership in BKC, Mumbai. The carmaker has priced the car at a whopping Rs 3.88 crore (ex-showroom), same as the prices in New Delhi. Check out these pictures of the car as Ferrari fans and enthusiasts greeted the arrival of the supercar with open arms.
The Ferrari 488 GTB was first unveiled globally at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and now has made its way to India exactly after a year. The GTB in the car's moniker stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta and the 488 represents the engine's unitary displacement. The appearance of the 488 is more of an evolution of the Ferrari 458's design, which in itself was highly acclaimed for its remarkable styling.
The 488 GTB is a successor of the Ferrari 458. It is designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre and retains the clean, pure lines typical of Ferrari’s legendary design.
For aerodynamic efficiency and cooling, there are large intakes to channel air through the sculpted nose towards the side. The side vents help in cooling the new engine components effectively.
Just liked the revised fascia, there are revised tail lamps and a slightly redesigned air outlet at the back. The rear look is completed by a 458 Speciale-esque rear diffuser with dual exhausts.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre engine, the Ferrari 488 GTB gets a humongous power output of 660bhp at 8,000 rpm and 760Nm at 3,000 rpm.The super car, which has a top speed of 330kmph, is one of the fastest street legal cars available all around the globe . With 100bhp of more power than the 458, the 488 GTB's powerplant enables the car to do the 0 to 100kmph sprint in just 3 seconds. Customers get a wide variety of customisable options to make their car even more unique. Every element in the car has a reference to its deep roots in Ferrari history.

Made in India Maruti Suzuki Baleno exported to Japan

Maruti Suzuki has commenced exports of the Baleno premium hatchback. The first batch dispatched from India has been unloaded at Toyohashi Port in Japan.


The Baleno is the first car from Maruti Suzuki to be exported to the parent company’s home market, Japan. The Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz rival is based on a new platform, which will also underpin the soon to be launch, Maruti Suzuki Ignis.


Suzuki will be offering the petrol version of the Baleno is Japan. The part of the engine line up will also be the new 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbocharged engine producing 110bhp, which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. The Baleno with the same engine set up will be launched here in mid-2016, ahead of the festive season.


Maruti Suzuki has dispatched the first consignment of 1,800 units, of the Baleno from the Mundra Port in Gujarat. The company also plans to export the Suzuki Baleno to over 100 global markets and is likely to export 30,000 - 40,000 units of the Baleno annually. The company has invested around Rs 1,060 crore in the development of Baleno.
